Alec Dickson Servant Leader Award


The Alec Dickson Servant Leader Award honors youth and adults for their commitment to education, service, community, and service-learning. The awards will be presented at The 18th Annual National Service-Learning Conference.  Deadline: January 2, 2007Click here for more information.

Tech Savvy Award


National Center for Family Literacy Verizon Tech Savvy Awards recognizes exemplary programs that demystify technology for parents and enable them to better guide their children in the use of new media. Maximum Award: $25,000. Deadline: January 12, 2007Click here for more information.

Service-Learning Leader Award


The Alec Dickson Servant Leader Award honors exemplary leaders who have inspired the service-learning field, positively impacted the lives of young people, and motivated others to take up the banner of service.  Deadline: January 22, 2007Click here for more information.

Grants for Problem Solving in Communities


The Christopher Columbus Fellowship Foundation invites teams of up to four middle school youth and a coach to identify a community issue and use the scientific process to solve it. Teams of finalists earn a trip to Walt Disney World and the opportunity to compete for a $25,000 U.S. savings bond to be used to implement the idea in their community. Deadline: February 12, 2007. International Collaboration and Cross-Cultural Learning
